Welcome to the Southwold Decorative and Fine Arts Society (Southwold DFAS) website. We are a branch of The Arts Society (NADFAS) and welcome members from a wide area of north-east Suffolk not just Southwold and Reydon. Since 2010 we have been registered as a Charitable Trust (No. 1132568).

The aims of our society are to promote knowledge and appreciation of a wide variety of the fine arts to both members and the public, and also to promote the conservation and recording of the decorative and fine art heritage in our area.

Monthly lectures on a variety of topics are held in Southwold Arts Centre, St Edmund’s Hall, Southwold from September to June each year and these are also open to members of the public. Click here for the latest programme.

Special Interest Days are held which allow time for a greater depth of learning.  Both of these are enhanced by visits to places of interest, exhibitions and art galleries locally and further afield.

We also try to encourage children and young people through the Young Arts programme and have completed two Church trails for children between about 8 and 12 years.

Please browse this website to find out what our Society offers.  Then if you require further information or would like to join, please contact the Membership Secretary, Anne Holland. Tel: 01986 874000 or Email: southwoldfas@gmail.com
